    So it appears Disney has run out of the up-gradable magic bands and they do not know when they will be re-stocked. Do you guys have any idea. I have 40 more days to edit my order and wanted to get my girls personalized ones?

    Hello James and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Disney's MagicBands certainly make traveling through the Walt Disney World Resort a breeze. They open your resort door, provide entry to the parks, and can even allow cashless travel as they can be used to pay for everything from churros to souvenirs!  

    You are correct that premium upgraded MagicBands are currently sold out. I faced this same dilemma just a few weeks ago as my family wanted to pick out their own MagicBands and the upgrade was unavailable then as well. Since we really wanted unique MagicBands, we went ahead and paid full price at ShopDisney.  You will find a large selection there. While the cost is a bit more, it certainly made my girls happy to sport Figment and the characters from Inside Out on their wrists.  I personally choose Moana as she is my favorite!

    If you don't want to pay the full price for premium MagicBands, keep checking back on the My Disney Experience app. to see if the upgrade becomes available. You have up until 11 days before your trip to choose from the site. If you end up selecting solid color MagicBands, you may want to purchase premium ones once you arrive. They are available in many of the gift shops on the Walt Disney World property.
