Hi! Apparently my device is incompatible with the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Won't even let me download it. Updated device, app and erased all caché, but it won't work. How can I get the app? Thanks!!

Ahoy, Miriam! I’m sorry to hear that you are having technological difficulties downloading the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, but I’m happy to provide you with some basic troubleshooting information.

It appears that you would be setting sail from Spain, so that may be why you are having difficulties. At this time, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App is only available on smartphones or tablets that run on either Apple iOS or Android operating systems. Unfortunately, that means that other devices, including Blackberry or Windows phones, are not currently supported. If you have a compatible device, then you can download the latest version of the app for free from either the Apple App Store or Google Play depending on your operating system. However, availability is subject to your phone model and coverage is not available everywhere, which may be the source of your frustration.

The good news is that you can complete all of your Disney Cruise Line planning needs on the main website and do not need the Navigator app to book your sailing or manage your reservation prior to embarkation day. Even if you are struggling to get the app downloaded during the planning stages, I would still recommend attempting to download it again once you reach your departure port because the coverage options may be different there.

If you still cannot get the app to work at all, there is no need to panic! Once you are onboard, you can request a printed copy of the schedule of events each day from the Guest Services Desk. When I first started sailing with Disney Cruise Line, there was no app and they provided every stateroom with a printed copy of the day’s itinerary; but, in an effort to be more environmentally conscious, they are no longer printed en masse. However, since some guests do not have smart phones or run into connectivity issues, Guest Services does still have a limited number of printed copies available, just keep in mind that they are provided on a first-come basis and may run out later in the day. Most of the main entertainment venues will also have the schedule of upcoming events posted on the screen outside their entrance, so you never need to worry about not knowing what is happening onboard.

I hope that your Disney Cruise Line experience is all smooth sailing from here. If you have any other questions, feel free to come back to planDisney for answers and advice. Happy sailing!
