When you
renew your annual pass, the expiration date of your current pass is extended by a year. So if, for example, your pass expires on January 25, 2017, your renewal would go through January 25, 2018.Unless you are planning another trip in 2017 or your 2018
Walt Disney World vacation falls before your expiration date, you probably want to hold off on renewing at this point.
When you get ready to buy a new annual pass, the clock will start on it at the time of first use. So, to get the maximum benefit, you can think about planning two vacations within that 12 month window, say late January 2018 and early January 2019.
