Hi there, Laryssa, and welcome back to planDisney!
You’re definitely a super planner like me, so I totally understand wanting to get everything you need for the best vacation ever well in advance. Your next walk down
Main Street, U.S.A. will be here before you can say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” I am more than happy to jump right into helping you today, Laryssa.
You have up to one year after purchasing your
Disney World annual pass to activate it. Once you officially tap into the magic (scanning into a theme park or visiting the
Disney Springs Disney Ticket Center), the pass will expire a year from that date. If you don’t activate and use your pass within one year of purchasing it, you can still apply its value to the purchase of another one later.
Here’s the cool part: You can 100% get in on the Annual Passholder hotel discounts once you’ve bought an annual pass. You’ll want to activate the pass before or on arrival day to your booked Disney Resort hotel in order to fully lock in that wonderful purchase rate though. So, keep your eye out on the
Special Offers, Deals, & Discounts webpage for us Annual Passholders. There are usually great deals for Disney+ subscribers and others on that page, too.
Laryssa, I hope that this helps you on your current vacation planning journey. Don’t hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney if you have additional questions before, after, or even during your next trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Magic always,
LeAndra
