We will be at AoA resort w/ a 4 & 2 yr old and nlaws in Oct. We have dining reservations at different resorts for supper & will use Disney Transport. Will this be too hectic? Should we stick to dining at the parks instead?

    Hi Shana!

You will love the Art of Animation Resort!  It is so colorful and I love that they finally made a character themed resort.  Taking Walt Disney World transportation to get from your resort to another for meals can be difficult, but I would certainly not skip out on them because of this.  The easiest way to deal with transportation to get to a restaurant at a resort is to plan on heading there from a park.  If you are dining at any of the Magic Kingdom area resorts like Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness or Wilderness Lodge, you can take either a monorail or ferry boat straight to the restaurant.  Plan a Magic Kingdom day for dining at one of the resorts.  To get back to the Art of Animation after your meal, you will need to head back to the Magic Kingdom and then grab a bus straight to your resort.

For all other resort dining, take a resort bus from any of the parks straight over.  Use Downtown Disney as a transfer point if you plan on spending any time browsing shops.  You can take a resort or park bus there and then take a resort or park bus back.

Working out transportation can be tricky, but all you need is to plan ahead and it will work out just fine.

    Have a magical day!
