Is AOA to MK for rope drop doable using skyliner via Epcot monorail?

    Hi Heidi!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Well I see you have some serious plans coming up very soon! As much as I admire your creativity, I do not think this would work for a few reasons. First, although you could potentially catch the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT, you would actually need to enter EPCOT at the International Gateway entrance and walk through to the main entrance to catch Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation. To walk through EPCOT and then go to Magic Kingdom, you would need theme park tickets with the Park Hopper® Option or an Annual Pass. With an Annual Pass, you still could need a theme park reservation. Even if you do have the right admission type, looking at the park hours, both parks have early entry starting at 8:30 a.m. on your arrival date.

Do not fear! There are other possible options. You could try using Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft to get to Magic Kingdom. Or, try a ride share service with Uber or Lyft to get to the Transportation & Ticket Center and then take the monorail from there. Given that there could be high demand at that time in the morning, I would suggest you try booking that ride by 7:15 a.m.

Heidi, I do have a few final tips. If you have not yet done so, consider Disney Genie+. At Magic Kingdom, I have found this service really helps us maximize our time. Do not forget to take photos with Disney PhotoPass® Service photographers. I always regret missing a photo if we passed by the photographers on Main Street, U.S.A. Take the few extra minutes to get a photo!

    Magic and memories,
