Is there anywhere within Disney that does not accept Disney gift cards? Would I be able to use to buy snacks in the parks?

    Hi Patricia,

The Disney Gift Card (DGC) can be used at select locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort as a form of payment towards admission, hotel stays, recreation, tours, merchandise and dining.  You will find more information about the DGC by visiting the above link I have provided for you.  There are a select few locations that I have heard will not be able to accept a DGC but I have not had a problem anywhere that I have tried using one, apart from once they could not accept it at one of the food cart locations (this may have changed though).  I think in general, you should be able to use it at most places throughout WDW for snacks, etc....

If you have quite a bit of money on them, I have a suggestion:  Make sure you keep the last receipt each time you use the DGC for a couple of reasons.  I forgot my DGC in one of the restaurants a year ago and because it is treated as cash I was worried there was no way to get it replaced if lost, but I was able to show the manager my last receipt after using it and they were able to pull the number, check the balance, see if someone had used it since I lost it and then they cancelled it and issued me a new one.  I was really lucky because I had over $1000.00 on it and if I hadn't had my last receipt I would have been out of luck and lost all that money. Second reason, it's really nice to keep track of your final balance which is on each receipt after you use your DGC.  Have a great time at WDW.

    Best wishes,
