Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for visiting us again at planDisney! Your trip is coming up soon, so I’m glad you thought of planDisney when you had another question.
Rebecca, you are welcome to bring your own food to the theme parks! While there are no dedicated picnic areas in the parks, you are free to find any outdoor table or bench to eat your meal.
To name a few options, in Magic Kingdom Park, there are several outdoor tables with umbrellas outside of
Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A., as well as outdoor seating at
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland. In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, my family usually finds a shaded picnic table in DinoLand U.S.A. across from
Trilo-Bites, and there are several shady walkways in
Pandora- The World of Avatar where you might find a place to sit and quickly eat. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios,
PizzeRizzo has an upstairs dining area that often has available seating, and there are picnic tables near
Rosie’s All-American Café on Sunset Boulevard. And in EPCOT, my family likes to find a bench near
Port of Entry, the shop at the entrance of World Showcase. These locations are subject to change, so my best advice is just to keep your eyes open for an available spot while you explore the parks!
There are some rules to be aware of when you are bringing your own food into the theme parks.
Prohibited items include alcohol, knives, and glass containers, except for small containers such as baby food jars. You may bring a cooler as long as it is smaller than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm), but loose or dry ice is not permitted, so I recommend bringing a reusable ice pack. Keep in mind that
Cast Members cannot reheat or refrigerate your food.
I hope this was helpful, Rebecca. If you have any future questions, we’re here for you at
planDisney! We’d love to help answer questions from planning your vacation, throughout your visit, and beyond!
See ya real soon,
Kaitlin
