    is there anyway my 5 yr old nephew and family visiting from england in nov this year can be the family that take part in the magic kingdom parade. he is recovering from a stroke that has left him relearning to walk. it would be amazing if i cud arrange it

    Hi Nikki and firstly let me tell you how lovely it is to hear from a fellow Brit!

    The family of the day is chosen at random each morning from guests arriving at Magic Kingdom. The chosen family are taken for a special meet and greet with the Mayor of Main Street and a selection of Disney characters. They then ride the train with the characters to the parks entrance and help with the official opening of the park.

    To improve your chances of being selected I would suggest that you arrive at Magic Kingdom at around 1 hour prior to opening. Have fun and interact with cast members as much as possible - take photographs, make conversation and perhaps do some pin trading. They are always on the look out for families having a good time and enjoying their holiday.

    I truly hope that your nephew and his family have a fantastic holiday and are lucky enough to receive an extra sprinkling of pixie dust and be selected as family of the day!
