Hey Howdy Hey Samantha and welcome to planDisney!
Late summer and early fall are fantastic times to visit Walt Disney World Resort. So much will be happening while you are there in August to get ready for the fall weather and Halloween season that you may be able to take advantage of so much. I will agree with you that it may seem difficult at times to find out where to access most information to keep up with all the happenings in Walt Disney World so let's jump in for some tips.
Two of the most reliable places you will find information on the Magic that is happening in Walt Disney World is on the specific
Parks Schedules part of the site as well as over at
Disney Parks Blog. As the timeframe gets closer to your dates of travel, keep an eye on the Park Schedules to get the most up-to-date information on the specifics such as shows and events that you might want to take advantage of throughout the Theme Parks. The other place to find a lot of the big announcements is over at Disney Parks Blog. You will be sure to get the latest updates on announcements for the fall like the recent post on the specific dates for
EPCOT's International Food and Wine Celebration. As the menus are released and the time gets closer, also keep an eye out for the
Foodie Guides that the blog puts out. They are great ways to navigate your way through so many food and drink offerings around the park!
Last year Disney also started to celebrate the Holloween Season with
Disney's After Hours Boo Bash event in Magic Kingdom. The popularity of this event will surely have everyone anxiously awaiting to see when the Not-So-Scarry Haloween celebration will take place.
You might also be able to catch some important updates and articles through your
My Disney Experience app as well. Usually, on the main landing page, you should see the most recent articles that may impact your trip with special celebrations and offerings as well!
I hope this helps to give you some insight on places to find the most up-to-date information on the big events and happenings at Walt Disney World Resort. Please feel free to reach out anytime you have any other questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
