Hiya Clare,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you are here and that I can help answer your question today. I’m so sorry to hear that your photos have disappeared. Photos are a great way to remember your magical time at Walt Disney World Resort. Some of my most favorite photos in my home came from visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I love seeing Magic Shots pop up in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and my Prince Charming and I love making silly faces during attractions so we can laugh at our attraction photos later on.
All
Disney PhotoPass photos are available for download up to 45 days after they were initially taken. I’m not sure how long it has been since your previous visit, but there is a chance that the photos have expired if it has been longer than 45 days. Unfortunately, because of the volume of memories that Cast Members capture every day, they do not yet have a way to store your images permanently. Depending on when your photos were taken, there is a chance that you can purchase a
one-time expiration extension of 15 additional days. If interested, you can do so through the Walt Disney World PhotoPass website. One of my fellow planDisney panelists, Ashley M, suggests reaching out to a Disney Expert on the freephone at 0800 169 0730 as another alternative.
I hope you can retrieve your photos, but I know your memories will last a lifetime even if you don’t have a snapshot of them.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
