Hi Carole,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If you are like me, photos from my vacations are some of my very favorite souvenirs. I have so many wonderful photos from visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney PhotoPass photographers do such a great job capturing the magic! I always insist that my friends and family purchase
Memory Maker for their visits.
When you have a photo taken by
Disney PhotoPass photographers, they will either scan your
MagicBand or a Disney PhotoPass card so you can retrieve your photos. If you scan a MagicBand, your photos will automagically appear in your
My Disney Experience app. If you have a Disney PhotoPass card, you can scan it in My Disney Experience and your photos will appear. So what do you do if you misplace the card?
I have had the misfortune of misplacing a Disney PhotoPass card and I have had the complication of having photos not show up in My Disney Experience. The remedy for both of these issues is the same. If you are in the parks, you can visit a Disney PhotoPass center and one of their Cast Members can assist you. This is much simpler if you can do it in person. If you are home from your magical vacation, you can
call Disney PhotoPass and ask them to help locate your photos as long as you are within the 45-day expiration window. You must know a close estimate of the day, time, and location each photo was taken. The Cast Member will search for them one-by-one. I will warn you that this is a time-consuming process. If I were you, I would prioritize which photos were the most important and necessary to find.
Carole, thank you for visiting us with your question. I'm sending pixie dust your way in hopes you are able to find your photos! I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other questions.
Wishing you a magical day,
Amy H.
