Welcome to planDisney, Kelly!
How brilliant that you have an upcoming summer vacation at The Most Magical Place on Earth! Like Olaf, I love summer... and warm hugs... but not both things together. Many people never consider it, but the summer months are the perfect times to visit the Disney Water Parks. My wife and I love heading to
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park in between our Theme Park days. A much-deserved rest on
Castaway Creek is just what the body needs after walking for miles the previous day. We still enjoy a good amount of thrills on the various water slides.
Crush 'n' Gusher is the attraction we love most. Did you know that you can even
book surf lessons in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool? As Crush would say, "It's totally awesome, dude!" Also, if you have any little Squirts in your bale of turtles,
Ketchakiddee Creek is a perfect place for them to explore and play.
But "let's get down to business." Although Walt Disney World is continuing its phased reopening, the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience is yet to return. I'm keeping my EAR to the ground for any exciting news. In the meantime, I'd encourage you to keep checking Disney Parks Blog for any announcements. It's possible that it could return by June. However, there are no guarantees. I realize that's not the news you were hoping to hear, Kelly. Let me suggest some other ways to fill your trip with
Disney Princess magic.
You could purchase some spectacular gowns through
shopDisney and have your little princess wear them on your vacation. At Magic Kingdom Park, you'll be able to get the perfect photo in front of Cinderella Castle. You can stop by and say hello to
Princess Tiana and other visiting Disney Princesses at Princess Royal Hall, before watching the Disney Princesses promenade through the park in the
Festival of Fantasy Parade. You could then become part of Ariel's world in
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can belt out your favorite tunes with
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. At EPCOT, you can even meet
Anna and Elsa at their Royal Sommerhus before going with them on an adventure on
Frozen Ever After. As you stroll around World Showcase, keep an eye out for any other Disney Princesses. They can sometimes be found in the pavilion for the country where their tale takes place. For example, look for Belle or Aurora in France or Mulan in China.
I hope that gives you plenty of exciting things to do, Kelly. Have a magical trip.
Mike
