Hey, hey Beth and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so happy to see you again with this
Fantasmic! question. I have only been at Walt Disney World Resort one time when a theme park was at capacity and it was New Years Eve 2018. Magic Kingdom Park could not allow any more people inside. It was a penguin walk to get anywhere. An alert went out to everyone who had their My Disney Experience mobile app notifications set to 'on' to inform them of the closure to additional Guests. When the crowd levels subsided, new Guests were allowed to enter the theme park.
To check whether a theme park is closed to additional Guests, do these two things. First, set your mobile device to let the
My Disney Experience mobile app send you notifications. Second, you can call Guest Services for the parks at 407-827-7760 and ask them directly. They may or may not be able to give you capacity information because it changes so quickly.
Disney Dad Tip: We have found that the best time to visit the
Disney Water Parks is first thing in the morning. We were at both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon over Memorial Day. It was hot but those lazy rivers really cool you off. The earlier you arrive (30 minutes is plenty) the better the lounge chairs and shaded areas you will find. After you snag your chairs head off to the premium water attractions.
Please stop by with more questions to help plan your pixie-dusted Disney adventure. We want to make sure your trip across the country is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Beth, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
