Is there anyway to get a cabin at fort wilderness with the Murphy bed instead of pull out couch? The price seems a lot to pay for a member of my family to not have a proper bed. If not what hotel would you recommend for 3 adults and two children aged 5 + 1

Hi there, Alicia, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Sounds like you have quite the adventure planned! Let's help you find the perfect place to call "home" during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is one of my family's very favorite spots at Walt Disney World. We've stayed there many times, both before and after the cabins' recent refurbishment, and I just love the new look! However, now that the renovations are complete, all of the cabins feature the sleeper sofa in the living room and the Murphy beds have all been removed.

Another wonderful Resort hotel that may be a good fit for your family is Disney's Art of Animation Resort. The family suites in the Cars, Lion King, and Finding Nemo sections feature a sitting room, dining area, and separate bedroom. The table in the dining area folds down to a full-size bed, while there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. You'll also find a kitchenette complete with microwave, refrigerator and sink, along with two - count 'em, two - full bathrooms. As much as I love the cabins, an extra bathroom is definitely a check in the plus column for the family suites!

Your children will also love the larger-than-life versions of their favorite Disney characters dotting the courtyards of Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and the Landscape of Flavors food court features some really tasty and unique fare. Plus, starting later this year, you'll have easy access to the newest way to get around when the Disney Skyliner takes to the skies above Walt Disney World!

I hope this helps you find all the comforts of home during your Walt Disney World vacation, Alicia. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
