Hiya Linda! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming multigenerational trip to the
Walt Disney World Resort this month. Before you know it, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. with your grandchildren by your side enjoying all the sights and sounds of the Magic Kingdom.
Regardless of whether you are staying in a Disney Resorts hotel or not, all Guests have the opportunity to book an appointment at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. As you mentioned, reservations are available 60 days in advance, although Guests staying in select resorts have a slight advantage over others. They can book this experience for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days), which gives them a slight leg up for dates later in their trip.
While I know it is frustrating to not nail down a reservation, I wouldn't lose hope just yet. On a recent trip, my wife was able to secure a spot just a few days before we arrived. We found that some Guests canceled their reservations a few days leading up to their visit when they got closer to their arrival. I suggest checking back periodically to see if anything opens up. Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours in advance without any penalty, so you may find some availability just a day before.
Linda, in addition to this magical experience, there are plenty of other incredibly fun things to do with your granddaughters during your stay. The
Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom is a can't miss for the entire family. One of my first memories with my little ones was watching their faces as their favorite Disney characters went by.
I hope this information helps you plan for your stay! See ya real soon!
