Hi Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Oh boy! A special birthday is upcoming! I can’t think of a better
present to receive than an Annual Pass to the
Walt Disney World Resort. If I lived closer to the parks growing up, I have a feeling this would have been toward the top of my list as well. I love the freedom that comes with being a Passholder. As long as there is availability, you can decide the morning of your visit to head over to your favorite park for the day!
Currently, the
Disney Pixie Dust Pass is the only Annual Pass available for purchase and can only be used by a
Florida resident. She would be able to enter the parks on most weekdays, but weekend visits are not included with this pass. There are also several blockout dates that Disney has designated for this pass, mostly including peak and holiday periods. In my opinion, this is a great option if your daughter has a flexible schedule and can frequent the parks during the week. The other three Annual Passes offered at Walt Disney World are currently unavailable with no return date specified. Each of these passes comes with a wider range of availability but at a higher price tag.
If you decide the Disney Pixie Dust Pass is the one for her, there are
additional benefits that come along with being a Passholder. She’ll receive discounts on dining and merchandise purchases. Another big perk is the savings on any after-hour events taking place a Walt Disney World. When the next Halloween-themed event rolls around, she'll be able to attend at a discounted rate!
Rebecca, if this Annual Pass is the right fit, I have a feeling this will be a birthday your daughter will not forget. If the blockout dates do not work for her schedule, then I would suggest following the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements or updates on when the rest of the passes will become available again.
Have a magical day!
Greg
