    Does anything special happen on New Years Eve? Arriving on Jan 2 but am thinking about arriving earlier ?

    Hi Cari!!!

    New Year's Eve is VERY crowded at the theme parks!!  However, there are some awesome special events and fireworks that occur on this evening.  

    The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios all stay open late on December 31st and offer special fireworks displays to help ring in the New Year.  The Magic Kingdom is definitely the most crowded theme park on New Year's Eve.  But I can think of no better way to start the New Year than by celebrating it at midnight at the Magic Kingdom!!  The fireworks display at the Magic Kingdom is breathtaking!!

    If you can manage to arrive a few days earlier to celebrate New Year's Eve, then I would highly recommend it.  If you are unable to, you will still be able to enjoy some of the Christmas decorations for a few more days before they are taken down.
