Are there anything special going on during the week of Dec 27-Jan 10? If we do Epcot on New Years Eve in hopes of avoiding the firework crowds, thoughts? Suggestions?

Aloha, Aphinya and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are going to love Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season. You should tour all the Deluxe Resort hotels as they are covered with fantastic holiday decorations including trees over 60-feet tall and gingerbread houses you want to live in as much as you want to eat them. We had fun at Disney Springs with Christmas Tree Trail and rang in 2019 at Epcot with the most amazing New Year's Eve celebrations.

There were two spectacular viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth; an early for young world travelers and a late one for those who were able to stay up late. This show is ending and I am sure the next one, Epcot Forever, will be even more amazing. In addition, there is the New Year's Countdown Fireworks at Epcot that originate from each country around the World Showcase as a salute to the New Year. These were mesmerizing! There were holiday treats and beverages at every turn and Silent Groove, a DJ dance party located near Future World Fountain Stage, was rockin'! It was so cool as each participant wore glowing headphones and danced to the beat of their favorite tunes while passersby had no idea what music was playing.

Disney Dad Tip: There are crowds everywhere so do not park hop. With careful planning, you will be fine. The Disney Parks Blog should release more information about the end of the year events as it gets closer.

Aphinya, enjoy making many Magical Memories on New Year's Eve.
