Welcome, Deena to planDisney! I am so excited that you not only have booked a trip to Walt Disney World but also wish to celebrate your princess' birthday there! Some of my favorite memories of Walt Disney World include celebrating my daughter's birthday, especially at such a magical age as the toddler/preschool years! Some ideas that my family and I have done to celebrate our daughter's birthday include booking a character breakfast and letting Cast Members know ahead of time that we are celebrating her birthday, and they came out with a cupcake with a candle on it and sang "Happy Birthday" to her! When we book trips, we also let them know ahead of time we are there to celebrate her birthday, and she has been presented with a birthday button at check-in, that she wears to each theme park!
Deena, did you know that you can purchase a birthday cupcake gift from
Disney Floral and Gifts? They have an assortment of wonderful bouquets and celebration baskets fit for a birthday princess! They also deliver to your resort, super convenient! You can also order a
celebration cake at select Disney Dining restaurants ahead of time, and they will present it at your meal! I highly suggest a reservation at
Be Our Guest Restaurant for this option! You will have the most incredible meal (the Grey Stuff is delicious!) and even have a chance to see Beast make his rounds throughout his castle. We chose to have dinner here when my daughter was 4 years old, and she dressed up as Belle! (Here is another tip!) Order your princess's dresses ahead of time from ShopDisney, and pack them in your suitcase using vacuum-sealed bags. They take up less space!
Deena, I hope my recommendations help you as you begin to prepare for your daughter's birthday! Please do not hesitate to ask me questions between now and your trip, I will be more than happy to help! Happy planning!
