Hi, Kimberly!
I’m so glad you visited us with this Disneyland Resort question. I spent Mother’s Day at the Happiest Place on Earth with my family when my firstborn was a toddler, and it remains one of my most special memories as a mom! At the Disneyland Hotel,
Steakhouse 55 will offer a three-course tasting menu for $65 that includes a starter dish, 8-ounce filet mignon and dessert. You can add an optional wine pairing for an additional $35. Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will offer a special Mother’s Day character breakfast buffet from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and lunch/dinner buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made now for the Mother’s Day dining experiences or any table-service restaurant by calling (714) 781-DINE.
Other restaurants around the resort typically serve special menu items for Mother's Day, too. I haven’t heard exactly what will be offered this year, but in the past, Carnation Cafe has served items such as a teriyaki honey grilled salmon, and Blue Bayou featured a seafood pot pie. A few of the bakery cafes in the theme parks have offered a specialty cupcake in past years as well. Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for a possible announcement in the coming weeks about this year’s offerings!
If you’re staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can arrange for a special Mother’s Day surprise, like a fresh flower arrangement, a custom gift basket or an in-room celebration package with decorations, gifts and sweet treats any mom would be thrilled to receive. For more information, call Disney Floral & Gifts at (714) 781-4438. I hope this helps you plan, Kimberly. Please write back with any other questions you can dream of as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
