Anything cool or special I should know about for my daughters 18th birthday?

    Hi Shawnari,

Birthdays, especially milestone birthdays, are extra special at Walt Disney World! My first bit of advice is always to pick up one of the free birthday buttons for your daughter, available at all Guest Relations stations. Wearing the button gets you lots of good wishes and, occasionally, special surprises.

If you are looking for a tour or something out of the ordinary, can I suggest a tour? Two of my favorites that I think might appeal to an 18-year-old also are the Wild Africa Trek and the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure.

A special surprise? Most table service restaurants have vanilla or chocolate cakes on hand. Just let your hostess know when you check in if you would like one. For a customized cake, call the Cake Hotline at 407.827.2253 at least 72 hours in advance.

A special dinner? There are so many great restaurants, and you don't have to spend a fortune. Besides signature dining venues, I also recommend Morimoto Asia, Sanaa, Frontera Cocina or Kona Cafe for an out-of-the-ordinary meal. Or consider one of the character meals, such as Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace.

The other thing we do on celebration trips: Let the birthday girl be in charge of choosing itinerary, FastPass+choices and meals for her day.

I'm almost out of room, but I hope that helps. Let us know if you have other questions. Enjoy your daughter's celebration!
