Hello, can anyone walk up to capt. cooks and eat dinner? We aren't staying at any Disney resort. We are hoping to catch the fireworks also. Any other possible options for dining/parking for the fireworks show? Any help would be appreciated!

Aloha, Staci! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your question!

As a Florida resident, I love heading over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for dinner with my family. Capt. Cook’s is one of our favorites! Their yummy Thai Coconut Meatballs are my go-to when I visit. Served on a bed of coconut rice this dish is filling, budget-friendly, and delicious! Capt’ Cooks is a win-win!

I’m glad to share with you that you can definitely stop by the Poly for dinner while you are visiting. Simply tell the Cast Member at the gate that you are coming for dinner and you should be good to go. There are some occasions when there might not be additional parking for visitors who are not guests at the resort. If that is the case, you can park at the Magic Kingdon parking, also known as the Ticket and Transportation Center and hop on the Resort Monorail that will take you to the Polynesian.

After dinner, make sure you leave room for some delicious Pineapple Dole Whip! You can get some right around the corner from Capt. Cook’s at the Pineapple Lanai then head down to the beach to enjoy the fireworks!

I hope you have a wonderful visit! Be sure to come back and see us again soon!
