Has anyone tried the Polar Patios at Blizzard Beach or Beach combers at typhoon Lagoon? I was wondering if they are worth the extra money? I am not really into the water parks but would love to use one of these.

Yes indeed I know all about the Polar Patios at Blizzard Beach!  Just enjoyed one this past week during my vacation!

I also am not a huge water park fan but it was so hot in Florida and being a northern girl it was the best way to escape the heat for one of the days. We thought we would try this out and reserved one for the day.

When you arrive you will check in and be escorted to select one of the available patios.  It is on a first come basis.  We like Patios 1, 2, 3, and 4 for their location. They are close to one of the entry points to the Lazy River as well as close to the toddler area, Tikes Peak which was important for us since we had our 4 year old grandson with us.

The patios are fenced off and have a private walkway to each with a chain across stating they are occupied.  Inside are two lounge type chairs and four regular wooden chairs making them very comfortable for six persons.  There is an umbrella covering a good deal of the space and most are located within trees that give natural shade. If you are hoping for a place to sunbathe then these are not for you as they stay shaded most of the time.  There is also a cooler with water and if you need more you will need to purchase the additional bottles.  There is a private safe for your use and towels.  You will be given six large drink mugs that will be bar coded so you can get as many refills during the day as you wish.

Food is not included but one of the many Patio hosts will be glad to come and take your order and deliver it when ready.  There is no standing in line taking away from the hours of fun you can have in the park.

I think I am spoiled for good now.....it was very enjoyable and very relaxing to have this patio to call my home base during the day.  I would take a float down the lazy river or hit the wave pool for a bit and then come back and relax while the rest of the group took on more of the crazy thrill rides!
