Does anyone have any tips on planning a trip to WDW? We are a family of 6, with 4 girls (9,7,4, and soon to be 2 year old). We went to WDW during 4th of july vacation and it was spur of the moment. I would really like to make it more enjoyable this time.

    Hi Nicole!

You've come to the right place for Walt Disney World tips! We are a family of 7 with 5 girls the same ages as your children. You mention you would like to make your trip more enjoyable this time. Without knowing specifics, I can certainly offer advice that help my family have the time of our lives.

Schedule your FastPass+ selections ahead of time. Buy your tickets before you arrive, and you can choose your FastPass+ experiences up to 30 days in advance of each day of your theme park visit. When you buy tickets in advance and book a stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in for the entire length of your stay. Choose your favorite attractions or maybe choose ones you didn't experience on your last trip. We found it best to schedule ours for the evening, so we could get to the theme parks before they opened in the mornings and get so much done. Then we would return to the hotel for a nap or to relax in the afternoon when crowds are heavy and return for nighttime entertainment in the evenings.

Manage your expectations. We travel with a double and a single stroller. So we move slowly. We let each child pick one attraction each day, and everything else we get done is a bonus! We have learned to take it easy and soak in all the magic Walt Disney World has to offer. Some of our favorite memories include eating ice cream on the sidewalk, playing at The Boneyard in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and watching a movie under the stars at our Disney Resort hotel.

Take advantage of the Baby Care Centers in all of the theme parks. Not only is it a nice, clean place to change diapers, but many of the centers have toys and a tv for the other children to rest and take a break. Most have a bathroom, too, so we turn it into a bathroom stop for everyone.

If all else fails, I carry a lot of lollipops in my bag. If you have any other questions, please ask. Have a magical vacation!
