Has anyone tent camped in January at disney? Is it do able or freezing?! We have camped at spring break here before and loved it but were not surw if it would be good in January. Does anyone have any advise?

    Hello Kathy!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I have not had the pleasure of camping at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in January at Walt Disney World Resort, but I have visited in January many times. The average temperatures are a high of 71°F and a low of 52°F.

January's weather can be fickle. I've been when the weather was very pleasant and mild. In the daytime, with the sun out, I would wear shorts and a t-shirt. Once the sun went down, I would be fine in a sweatshirt. However, there have also been other years when I've been freezing, and I had on a winter coat, gloves, hat, and 3 layers of clothing.

I do love January for lower crowds! If you are willing to take the risk of colder temperatures, then go for it! Adventure is out there. However, if you'd rather have warmer temperatures, then I would suggest another month.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon.
