Can anyone tell me how a value resort compares to a moderate resort? I'd love to save some $ but am afraid I will be disappointed after staying at Port Orleans last time. Those rooms were small enough and the beds were only ok. Can' imagine . . .

Hi, Stephanie!   As you go from a Value to a Moderate to a Deluxe Resort at WDW,   rooms get bigger, linens get nicer, resort landscaping becomes more lush, pool areas get better, and amenities increase.

Both the Value and Moderates have 2 double beds (with the exception of Coronado Springs which has queen beds.)  When it comes to size,  there is 314 square feet in a Moderate Room, and only 260 square feet in a Value Room.   Moderates have 2 sinks, Values have 1 sink (again, Coronado Springs is the exception with 1 sink.)

When it comes to resort amenities, a Moderate will have a table service restaurant (French Quarter and Riverside share a table service restaurant) and Moderates have a pool slide and hot tub.    Values have only a food court and pools are more basic.

Whatever resort level you choose, all will offer the use of Magical Express airport shuttles and transportation around property,   You have the opportunity to purchase the dining plan, use Extra Magic Hours, and package delivery to your resort.   But if you want to pick up space and a bit nicer resort, you might appreciate a jump up to the next resort category.

If you want the best bang for your buck, I suggest Coronado Springs.  It is a Moderate Resort with amazing queen size beds that are super comfortable.   All of the rooms were refurbished within the last few years, and it is a peaceful location.   The resort is very spread out, so there is some walking, but the grounds are so pretty.

Whatever you choose, I hope your vacation is magical!
