Hi, Can anyone tell me if there are special things they do for children with birthdays at Magic Kingdom, our sweet grandson is turning 1 the day we are visiting. Thanks so much

    Hi there, Roxane!

Aw, yay for a magical first birthday visit! Where better to celebrate than in the Most Magical Place on Earth? That's a rhetorical question because there is no where!!

I'm excited to hEAR your planning such a special trip. You'll want to make sure you pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for the little guy, but I also recommend picking up "I'm Celebrating..." buttons for the rest of you because sometimes pins and babies just don't mix. This way you can all broadcast his magical celebration! Occasionally these pins will get you a small pixie-dusted surprise, like a cupcake or something, but there is no guarantee. They will ensure many Cast Members and even a few guests wish the big guy a happy birthday. If you are planning a meal, you can request a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to celebrate his big day. You could also schedule a visit to the Harmony Barber Shop for his first haircut. Regardless of what you plan, I'm sure he'll have an incredible day.

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Roxane. Please wish your grandson a very happy birthday from all of us and let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Colorado

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
