Has anyone stayed at the Disney Resort (sports) resort, we are going in may 2011, any and all advise would be appreciated, the service, accommodations and overall experience would be appreciated, thank you

Hi, Korie!   The All-Star Sports Resort is a really fun resort for families.  There is a lot of activity going on at the pools, food court, and game room.   I enjoy the energy of this resort - it really feels like you are on a Disney vacation!

Rooms have 2 double beds and 2 sinks.  There is not  a ton of space, but you probably will not be spending that much time in your room.   Preferred Rooms will put you closer to the food court/main pool/bus stops.   Standard Rooms are a longer walk, but tend to be a bit quieter since you are not as close to the center of all the action.

The huge food court offers a variety of items, from pizza to sandwiches, to full dinners.   There is no sit-down restaurant at any of the Value Resorts, but there is such a wide variety of items to choose from at the food court, I have never found this to be a problem.

Guests of the All-Stars are welcome to enjoy the pools and activities at all 3 All-Star Resorts.   You can walk among the 3 to see the huge themes that are carried out in Movies, Music, and Sports.  Pool towels are not available, so bring towels from your room and call housekeeping if you need additional towels.

Bus service runs throughout the day.   Bus stops are located outside the lobby area.

My kids enjoy this resort.  We have stayed there a few times and have always had a good experience.   I hope you and your family have a great time when you visit in May!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
