Hi Nancy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
First of all, a great big "Congrats!" is in order for your happy news! As you know from your last pregnancy, visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your newest Mouseketeer in tow will be a magical experience.
I have vacationed at "The Most Magical Place on Earth" as an expectant mother as well, and definitely understand that feeling of missing out on some of the fun. I also know how important it is to protect your growing baby! Currently, there are
18 attractions listed with an Expectant Mother Advisory in the theme parks (not including the Walt Disney World water parks). Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is listed as an attraction
not suitable during pregnancy and from my personal experience with this ride, I definitely agree that it isn't appropriate for expectant moms. Even though it is a smooth ride, there are some decent drops on this thrill ride that give me that "butterflies in my stomach" feeling. I would skip this ride as a pregnant mom, even during the first trimester.
The good news is that there are many attractions that are appropriate for
everyone in the family! Most rides without a height requirement do not have a health advisory posted for pregnancy. Make sure to check the warning signs posted outside of an attraction for health advisories and when in doubt, consult a nearby Cast Member. I also recommend speaking with your health care provider prior to your visit for any other tips or things to watch out for during your visit.
I hope you have an ah-maz-ing vacation soon, Nancy! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
