Hi Michelle,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about planning a special bridal celebration at Walt Disney World. I've got lots of ideas, so let's dive in.
Over the years, friends and I have done several Enchanting Extras together that are a perfect "girl time" to bond, laugh and celebrate each other. The first thing that popped into my mind when you mentioned a special group celebration was a
fireworks cruise. I've done both the one at Magic Kingdom and at Epcot with friends, and it's a special, private experience.
Sangria University is delightful, and you've got plenty of socializing time during the class. I've done it two or three times with a group, and I plan to schedule it again this summer.
Feeling a little more adventurous? My friends and I laughed so much and felt incredibly athletic when we conquered the Segways on the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure.
Want something less action-oriented? The
Grand Floridian Spa is so luxurious.
Two other group activities that I've loved: the
Amorette's Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience and the
Wild Africa Trek.
The cake decorating experience takes place in the morning before the bakery opens. It's a casual, collegial environment as you work in pairs to adorn a Mickey Dome cake. And you take the cake home!
Wild Africa Trek combines adventure, cuisine, education and comradery in the behind-the-scenes tour. It's a blast. Please note that each person also needs a valid admission to Animal Kingdom, so it's the priciest of these recommendations.
These are all experiences I've done personally and would recommend. You can see the full list of
Enchanting Extras here if you want other ideas.
And for a photo outside of a theme park, I would visit the
Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs. My family stopped there for a group photo on Christmas Day, and, because I have the Disney PhotoPass Downloads option on my annual pass, we were able to download our photos for no additional fee. No appointment is necessary.
You can purchase photos a la carte. Or, if anyone in your group is an annual passholder, they can add the Disney PhotoPass Downloads add-on option to their pass for $109 for the year if they don't have it already. (Price subject to change).
I hope these suggestions help you plan a wonderful bridal celebration, Michelle. If you have other questions, please check back with us for more recommendations.
Enjoy every magical moment,
Wilma
