Hi there, Deanna!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question about what I hope is a not too far off visit to
Walt Disney World Resort!
Since you are from Florida, I am sure you are aware that the weather can be somewhat unpredictable, which makes planning for the unknown somewhat of a challenge! You never know when a stray thunderstorm may make an appearance, so being prepared is always a good idea! The
strollers that you can rent at the theme parks do not have rain covers, but they do have a small sunshade that can be lowered to keep the sun (or rain) off littles! The molded plastic strollers are somewhat of an unusual shape (I can’t share a picture of one, but you can do a quick online search and lots of photos will pop up) so I cannot recommend a particular rain cover that will fit it, but I have seen double stroller rain covers be attached to the stroller with clothespins to keep the rain off Mouseketeers! Or, often a Walt Disney World Resort poncho will come in handy to drape over it keeping them shielded from the rain!
On the occasion that I have been caught in a rainstorm at the theme parks, one of my favorite things to do is head to a live stage show (
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a fav of mine) or the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom Park is another great alternative to escape the rain!
Rain or shine, I wish you a magical and memorable vacation!
Stephanie
