Does anyone know what all occurs on Easter Sunday at Fort Wilderness Campground? Looking forward to our first Easter at WDW!

    Hi Linda!

You have chosen a perfect spot to visit Walt Disney World at the Easter holiday. The Fort Wilderness Resort will have extensive activities and more then any other resort on property. They pride themselves in making each holiday a special time for their guests.

Easter day itself will be busy and last year they held a large party at the Mickey's Backyard Barbecue area all morning on Easter Sunday. That included character meet and greets, scavenger hunts, dancing, and games. Information about the 2018 plan has not been published yet as they are still working on next years festivities.

The pool will be a special place where you will find a lot going on. Crafts will be offered for the guests with some deeming an extra cost but most are just come and enjoy. The recreation staff will have games and lots of fun things happening all day and the days surrounding the Easter holiday.

Some sort of egg hunt and candy scramble will likely be on the schedule at one location or the other. When you check in they will give you a complete listing of all activities planned but I can guarantee that Fort Wilderness will have plenty to do for this holiday and especially on Easter Sunday.

You will also have the opportunity to order some Easter baskets for the family at the Meadow Trading Post. Be sure and do this early in your trip so you don't miss out on this special fun.
    Happy Easter!
