Aloha, Katrina!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for bringing us your questions. You are going to create so many magical memories at the Happiest Place on Earth.
With the proximity of the Anaheim Convention Center to the Disneyland Resort theme parks, its possible there could be some increased traffic around the area during large conventions, but I don't really think this will translate into much of a difference at the parks. Currently there is a very large expo taking place with over 115,000 attendees, and attraction wait times on the
Disneyland app are fairly low. My advice would be to arrive as early as possible in the morning to beat any traffic, and to use the
Mickey & Friends Parking Structure since this is farther from the hustle and bustle of the convention center.
It's possible that hotels in the area could be sold out due to some school districts' spring break holidays in March and an increased amount of Guests vacationing at the Disneyland Resort. If this is the case, then I would advise you to truly maximize your time in the parks with
Disney MaxPass which allows you to digitally make Disney FASTPASS selections right from your mobile device. Whenever I visit during popular times of the year, this is a MUST. It lets use experience so many more attractions and entertainment with less wait time.
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
