Hi Lyndsey,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. At Christmas time, Walt Disney World is transformed to a holiday wonderland filled with breathtaking decorations in the parks and resorts, mouthwatering festive treats, and unforgettable experiences. It’s truly magic.
The
Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is one of my very favorite yuletide experiences at Walt Disney World. From the dancing toy soldiers to my very favorite dancing reindeer, it’s overflowing with holiday cheer – I can’t watch it without singing and dancing along with a huge smile on my face. The parade lasts approximately 25 minutes; be sure to check the Times Guide for parade times, and then grab a festive treat and settle in for a jolly holiday on Main Street, U.S.A. My advice is to attend the second parade (if there is a second parade offered on the night you visit), as it is usually a little less crowded after sleepy tots are back in bed with visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads.
Lyndsey, enjoy every minute of your holiday visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Just as children watch for Santa, I hope you’ll watch the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements about all the Christmas cheer that will be spread around the parks and resorts during your visit. One of my favorite things to do during the most wonderful time of the year is to check out the Christmas trees at the resorts; each tree is uniquely themed, and it's so much fun to visit the resorts, see the decorations, and try a delicious snack (don't miss the gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - it smells amazing and you can buy some to try, too!).
Wishing you a magical and merry vacation,
Robyn
