Does anyone know what the law is for travelling in a 12 seater shuttle (transfer from airport) or a taxi in orlando in terms of car seats for a baby? Or if you can arrange to hire and pick up a car seat from airport? We'd rather not hire a car. Thank you

Hi Stacey!  Florida law states that commercial bus vehicles do not have to have passengers in car seats.  In fact if you travel on the Disney Magical Express you cannot use a car seat and must store it underneath with the luggage.

Many, many taxi cabs will have car seats stored in their trunks since this is such a huge family vacation destination.  If you decide to use a taxi just ask for one that has a car seat. You might need to wait a little longer but peace of mind is worth as many minutes as it takes. If you have a large family request a cab van that can seat more then four.

If you decide to use a taxi on property you can also request one that is carrying a car seat.  Your resort valet can assist you with this.
