Hi Christa,
Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World!
Disney PhotoPass is a great way to professionally capture many of your special moments at WDW. Throughout the parks and various locations around the resort including at all theme park icons and most character spots, Disney PhotoPass photographers take snapshots of you and your family with out obligation. You obtain a PhotoPass Card and present it each time your photo is taken, Your card is scanned and your photos are magically sent to your PhotoPass Card. You may view your shots at any time at Theme Park Camera Centers or online at
www.disneyphotopass.com. PhotoPass is not a replacement for taking your own photographs, but a supplement to get professional shots at great locations at WDW.
I highly recommend you do 2 things in reference to PhotoPass. First, when you get your card take a picture of your 16-digit ID number either with your camera or cell phone. If you happen to lose your card you will still be able to access your pictures, Secondly, register your PhotoPass card online. This allows you to view all of your pictures online for about 30 days after your trip. You may also download your personal pictures onto your PhotoPass account. Downloading your own pictures allows you to put Disney borders and captions etc on your own pictures. You may also put borders and captions on the professional pictures taken by the photographers, After you have all of your pictures on your PhotoPass account, you may purchase a disc with all of your pictures on it, so you can print at home. Or you can purchase just your favorite pictures.
If you are not computer savvy, you may purchase your favorite pictures from WDW at a Camera Center before you leave.
