Hi Angela,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
Unfortunately, the schedule hasn’t yet been released for several of the
Pro Bowl Activities taking place at Walt Disney World Resort in January 2017. From what I understand, the game will be taking place on January 29th, and a parade in Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to take place in the “days before the game”. My advice would be to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for updated information about the Pro Bowl festivities.
In any event, if you wind up being inside Magic Kingdom Park on the day that the parade takes place, don’t worry! From what I’ve seen with the Super Bowl Parades and other televised events inside the Park, most of the people spend their day on Main Street U.S.A. and attractions often have lower wait times while taping takes place. In addition, sporting parades don’t often take place in the morning, so an early-morning touring plan would also help minimize any impact that these events may have your plans.
Bottom line: plan your vacation the way YOU want it to look, and then work around any Pro Bowl events that you would rather avoid. You may find it easier than you’d anticipate!
I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
