It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tonyia!
The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My family plans a vacation each year between Thanksgiving and Christmas because I think it's the best way to kick off our festive celebrations. Since the holiday entertainment and decorations are so popular, they begin early and don't end until well after Christmas, so let's talk about what you can expect to see if you're planning a November, December, or January vacation.
In my experience, the holiday decorations are usually put up around the second week of November and they come down around the second week in January. This can vary from year to year but you can typically count on the trees, garlands, and wreaths staying up in the Theme Parks and
Resort Hotels for around two weeks after Christmas Day. This year,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins at
Magic Kingdom Park on November 8, so the decorations will likely go up in stages in the week leading up to that. By the time I arrive around Thanksgiving, everything is in full Christmas mode and there are fun festive touches everywhere, like the
14-foot tall gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! There will be Christmas-themed events happening all the way through January 5, 2020, so I expect that the decorations will likely come down gradually in the days to follow.
Have a magical day, Tonyia!
