Does anyone know if there are coffee makers in the cabins at Fort Wilderness? Is it a time saver to drive to the parks/transportation center from the campground vs. Disney transportation?

    Howdy Richard!

Fort Wilderness is in my top 3 resorts at Walt Disney World, so I am so excited to read that you will be staying there!  Yes, there are coffee makers for you to use in each cabin along with coffee supplies.  If you need more, simply call Mousekeeping from your cabin phone.

I am big on driving my own car while staying in Walt Disney World.  I like to be on my own schedule and leave when I want to leave without waiting for a bus to pick me up.  With that being said (or typed), I always use the ferry boats from Fort Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom.  It's just a quick sailing over to the park from your resort and they drop you off right at the front gates.  If you were to drive, you'd have to park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, take a tram to Ticket and Transportation Center, and then take a monorail or ferry boat to the front gates.  The Fort Wilderness ferry boat is the way to go.  For all of the other parks, driving is a huge time saver.  Fort Wilderness shares a bus route with other resorts, so they make stops along the way to your destination.  I suggest driving your own car when you are traveling to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.

    Have a magical day!
