Seasons greetings to you, Jodi!
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing your important question our way for your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort during the
most magical time of the year. I understand the importance of enjoying a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Mass as part of your traditions in celebrating this special day.
Unfortunately, we do not yet have confirmation of exact times and locations for services this year around the Walt Disney World Resort property. Last year, Catholic Mass was held on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at various
Disney Resorts Collection hotels - Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. I was staying at Disney’s Riveria Resort and saw the information posted on a sign in the lobby the week prior.
The
Disney Parks Blog is always a great place for announcements of special events and happenings around Walt Disney World, but I couldn’t find a historical announcement for Catholic Mass there. I encourage you to keep an eye on that official content for any news, but also to inquire at your resort upon arrival for vacation. If your particular resort is not hosting a service, they should still have the information available to you. Please know that when visiting another resort for a special event such as Catholic Mass in your own vehicle, you will be allowed to park there for the duration of service so please alert the security guard as to your intentions upon arrival. You can always arrive by
Disney Resort transportation options or
Disney Minnie Van Service. You may also inquire about service times and locations during the holiday week at any
Guest Relations location within the four theme parks for the most up-to-date information.
I hope you can enjoy the
Candlelight Processional at EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays during your special visit, Jodi. While not a proper religious service, it is the retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator supported by a mass choir and full orchestra. The songs supporting the story are both traditional and hymnal, and it’s a wonderfully stirring and beautiful event, not to be missed in my view. Hearing the
Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah performed by these incredible singers and musicians, and seeing the audience stand in honor makes me feel surrounded by the true spirit of Christmas. If you’re able to secure a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package, you will have priority seating for this event which occurs three times a night now through December 30, 2023. If not, you may observe for a few moments as you pass by the America Gardens Theatre in the evening or opt for the standby queue for a seat at any of the three performances.
Please let us know how else we can help you make the most of this amazing vacation. I hope this was helpful in knowing how to confirm Catholic Mass on property as part of your holiday traditions at the most magical place on earth.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season,
Amy
