Does anyone know what amenities are included at the grand villas at Old Key West. I am getting conflicting reports. Is dishwasher soap and laundry soup included and if so how much of each. Should we bring some of our own?

    Hi Kevin,

I just got back last week from a stay at Old Key West.  It is an absolutely lovely property that reminded us of a Caribbean paradise.  It is so laid back, I almost (I said almost) didn't want to leave in the mornings and hit the parks!  My kids LOVED the pool so much that the lifeguards literally had to cart them off of the corkscrew slide at 9pm when they went off duty!  (Just to be clear, just the slide closed, they stayed in the pool until their lips went blue!)

When you arrive at the villas, you'll receive one box of Tide powdered laundry soap (enough for one big load or two smaller loads) and a small bottle of dish soap (ours was Palmolive and easily lasted for the whole week we were there).  You'll also get a few packages of dish detergent for the automatic dishwasher (we had five in our room).  You can buy additional laundry detergent in the general store or in the "public" laundry facility by the main pool.  When we ran out of dishwasher detergent, we simply asked mousekeeping for more, and got received some with our clean towels the next morning for no charge.

    I hope this helps!

Have a wonderful trip to OKW!

PS - the Key Lime Pie at Olivia's is the best in all of Disney!
