Hi there, Sylvia! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney! You'll be headed to
The Most Magical Place on Earth in about a week! You must be so excited!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most iconic Disney Resort hotels. It is a tropical oasis on the Seven Seas Lagoon and steps away from
Magic Kingdom Park. The Moorea building houses DVC Villas. It does have a laundry facility, but it requires MagicBand access, intended for use by DVC guests. I wouldn't recommend it if you are not staying in that building, as it is a relatively small facility that serves hundreds of DVC villas.
While the Polynesian does offer
laundry service for a fee (now that sounds like a vacation to me!), you can also do it yourself. I do not like to take home a suitcase full of sweaty clothes, so I often choose to do at least a few loads during my visit. Our family typically will take a day off from the theme parks, sleep in, and enjoy the resort pool. This is the perfect time to get the laundry done. There is a large self-service laundry facility near the front of the resort. It is located between the Rarotonga and Pago Pago buildings, but you pass right by it when walking from the Great Ceremonial House to the bus stop. Although I usually bring detergent from home, there is a vending machine for you to purchase single-use packs. The washers and dryers are easy to use and only cost a small fee.
The Polynesian has some fun and unique places to have dinner or grab a drink.
'Ohana is one of my family's favorites, as well as
Kona Cafe and
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. Last year, I visited
Tambu Lounge with a friend, and I cannot stop thinking about the Honey-Coriander wings!
You'd better get packing, Sylvia! I hope it's your most magical vacation yet! If you have any more questions, please come back and see us at
planDisney! We love helping other guests!
Always Dreaming -
