    Did anyone go to the first day of Star Wars Weekend 2013? If yes, how were the crowds - worse than previous years? Did you try to get your kids into the Jedi Training Academy? Any luck?

    Hi Alexandra!
    Since your question has been lingering most of the day, I figure none of the current Moms or Dads were actually at Walt Disney World this weekend. So, I did the next best thing and called down to speak with the good folks at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
    Star Wars Weekend is always extremely popular, but this year marks the first year that the franchise falls under the Disney family of companies, so a lot of additional excitement preceded the events. Crowds at Disney's Hollywood Studios were "quite large" for the weekend and "about the same" as previous Star Wars Weekends.
    Getting a child into the Jedi Training Academy always seems to take a bit of pixie dust to be chosen, even on the slowest of park days.
