Hi Yelany! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When my family travels to the Walt Disney World Resort we always are on a budget. We usually choose to stay at a “value resort” and if we have a bit of wiggle room, sometimes we choose a “moderate resort.” I have always found that it doesn’t matter which room type you choose, it is always clean, spacious enough for my family, and comfortable.
If I had to choose an “All Star Resort” I would choose Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. I love that this resort is sports themed and the pool is a really cool Surfboard Motif design. With that being said our favorite “value resort” is
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. I love this resort because of the design, it seems to cater to everyone. It will transport you back to your childhood as it takes you through the decades and fads of the 1950’s through the 1990’s. My kids absolutely love the Hippy Dippy Pool and the Everything Pop Shopping and Dining area is perfect for our family. Another great perk is that when staying at this resort hotel you do not have to share a bus with any other resort hotel. I have found that this saves time with transportation!
Our favorite moderate resort is Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. The décor is lively and inviting, the resort isn’t too large and is easy to navigate, and the Mardi Gras-themed pool with dragon waterslide is so much fun. There is even a hot tub. The Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court has always been delicious and I feel that there is a great variety of choices of food. If you stay here don’t forget to check out the Beignets, they are delicious!
I hope that you will be able to find the resort that best fits your family’s needs! Have a magical time!
