Does anyone have first hand experience using a carrier in the parks for a 25 lb one year old? Yay or nay?

Hi Christine! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your trip is almost here ... yay! I know you are going to have a magical vacation and will enjoy it even more as you experience it with your little one.

The last time I used a baby carrier on a Disney vacation, my daughter was a bit smaller than your 1-year-old. With that said, I appreciated the stroller much more because it gave my arms and back a break, but I did find it helpful when waiting in lines for attractions since our stroller was left behind in the stroller parking outside of each attraction. Some people adore their carriers in the theme parks, but personally, I have always preferred a stroller. Keep in mind that the summer heat is also in play at this time of year, so you may find a stroller cooler for everyone when walking around Walt Disney World Resort. We bought an inexpensive stroller fan before leaving home that clipped on the stroller to keep our kids cool and it still goes with us on our vacations a few years later!

My advice is to take a stroller, then use the carrier as needed in lines where you are going to be holding your kiddo anyway. If you decide to use the carrier more, great! You'll still have your stroller to hold drinks, snacks, diaper bags, etc.

I hope this helps as you plan your last-minute trip details, Christine. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
