Hiya Lori,
Welcome to planDisney! You and I have the same planning style, and it is great to meet a kindred spirit. When I plan a Walt Disney World Vacation, I always look at the park hours and make sure that I book my
Disney Park Pass Reservations to maximize my time in the Theme Parks. I've also been known to plan my park visits around specific days of the week as well.
Currently, Walt Disney World Resort's
official monthly calendar only shows dates until August 31st, 2022. Historically, the calendar is released 1-2 months in advance, so I would anticipate October's dates to begin appearing sometime in July- August (although it could always be released earlier). I wish I could be more helpful about what specific date to check back, but unfortunately, the Imagineers keep that fairly under wraps.
While you wait for the calendar to update, I recommend going ahead and reserving some of your Disney Park Pass Reservations as a placeholder. Since Disney Park Pass Reservations are limited, I always like to err on the side of caution and lock in park passes early. You can always cancel your Disney Park Pass Reservations if you need to change them to reflect the park hours. If you are still planning to be at Walt Disney World Resort during All Hallows' Eve or Halloween, definitely reserve your Magic Kingdom Park Pass Reservation if you see availability. These tend to be the first ones to become unavailable due to the incredible decorations!
I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, Lori! Before I let you go, have you looked into getting tickets for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?! This is one of my favorite events at Walt Disney World Resort, and it is the perfect way to experience the spooky season at Magic Kingdom. I highly recommend it if it fits into your plans.
Happy to talk about it more or anything else you need!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
