Hi, Brittany!
If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, 60 days before you arrive you are able to make your FastPass+ reservations. (If you are not staying on site, you can make these reservations 30 days in advance.) You are able to choose three FastPass+ selections for one Theme Park per day of your visit. After you have used all three, you may make additional FastPass+ selections, one at a time, by visiting a FastPass+ Kiosk in the same Theme Park as the rides or attractions you would like to make your selections for. If you need to change your FastPass+ selections before you use them, you can manage them right in the Theme Parks or at your hotel before your arrival by using your My Disney Experience app.
The best way to determine how to use your FastPass+ selections is to decide what your family wants the most out of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If you are all about the thrills, it is best to make your selections for some of the most popular rides. If your sole mission is to meet as many characters as you wish (especially if you MUST meet Anna and Elsa), you will want to use your selections for character experiences. If fireworks and parades set your heart a flutter and you want to be sure you get the best seat in the house - you can make FastPass+ reservations for those as well. As a family with two older boys, we go heavy on the attractions with a sprinkling of princesses so I am happy. We love the fireworks and parades but we are content grabbing a spot last minute as long as we can see a bit.
We arrive at the Theme Parks as soon as they open. You can get on a few rides this early with little to no wait! We make our FastPass+ selections then for later in the day, but early enough so we can use our three and then make another selection.
Have a magical day, Brittany!
