    Has anyone had an experience with in-room babysitting through Kids Nite Out? Any positives or negatives?

    Hi Alisa!

    I know it is always hard to plan a vacation with the family but still wish to have a chance to enjoy some adult time. The Walt Disney World Resort has many great opportunities for the adults to head off to enjoy special dining or entertainment.

    I have used the Kids Nite Out Child Care Service while on vacation at the resorts. I used it with my own children when it was called by a different name and now with my grandchildren. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about it. I have used it for infants to 12 year olds and every experience was a good one. It is important you reserve early and request sitters who are good with the age of your children. If you have an infant I know my daughter requested someone who was older who had that experience.

    When the sitter arrives they will bring activities appropriate for the age of the children and you know it is not simply going to be a time when the tv goes on. We often get a room key card from the front desk to allow the sitter to take the kids out and about the resort for a walk. We also let the sitter know they can order room service meals for everyone including themselves making that an easy option. Sitters will not be able to take kids swimming or give them baths due to safety reasons.

    You exchange cell phone numbers and you can keep in touch throughout the evening if you wish. It has been a very successful usage for a baby sitting service and knowing this company works with Disney constantly we have always felt better.
