Does anyone ever stay at the Disney Resorts and not go to a park? We were just wanting to get away for a few days to relax and we love the resorts there.

    Hi Amy!

Absolutely! My family and I have traveled to the Walt Disney World Resorts strictly to enjoy the resorts. One of our favorite things to do is resort hop. We enjoy dining in the restaurants in the resorts and then exploring the grounds and shops. Here are a few suggestions:

-Have a late lunch or  early dinner at Kona Cafe or 'Ohana located at Disney's Polynesian Village. Get there early so that you can check out the resort views and shops. After your meal, hop on the monorail and head over to Disney's Contemporary Resort and check out the shops as well. Hop back on the monorail and head over to Disney's Grand Floridian. Be sure to check out the Basin White store located on the second floor. They have great bath soaps and my kids just love washing their hands there with the amazing hand soaps. Depending on the time of day, you can certainly catch a glimpse of the Wishes fireworks show when you stop by the beach and boat dock area. After that, hop back on the monorail and head back to Disney's Polynesian Village and have a few cocktails at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. This themed bar is so much fun!

-Visit Disney Springs! Disney Springs has lots to offer with different dining options and entertainment experiences such as Splitsville which is a bowling alley and restaurant. There is restaurant called The BOATHOUSE where you can have a tour of Disney Springs aboard little "dreamboats" themed like retro or antique cars! I highly recommend that you check them out. Last but not least, be sure to visit Sprinkles and the cupcake ATM machine!

It has been a pleasure assisting you! Please feel free to send in any other questions you may have.
